Default Composite Decking

Can anyone tell me if evergrain decking is a good product and if you would suggest a better product (for the same price range). To be installed in Denver,CO. What type of raised/snow railings would you recommend. Thanks---Clem

Clem,

I believe Evergrain has been a good proven performer for many years. I 've used it and know others who have been happy with it as well.

There are several good options to consider but I'm not sure what options you'll have in the price range you're hoping for.

Correct Deck Cx has been a good product. I like some of the pvc based options such as Azek or Trex's Escapes. Timber tech and Fiber composites has these options as well. These products are very durable and breeze thru the "scuff, scratch, and stain" test. Thre are others.

I'm from Georgia so I'm not even sure what a "snow rail" is? As far as handrails go the skys the limit. I've been using alot of Deckorator balusters combined with wood and Azek railcaps as well as Fortress Railing combined with Trex Artisian railpost sleeves.

Another type of PVC decking you might want to consider would be Quadra. I had my deck built with it and so far I am happy.

I use Evergrain and it is a great product. It is much better than Trex or Timbertech. It is stronger and more durable. At my supplier it is the best value of all composite products. The only downside is their terrible hidden fastener system. It looks as close to wood as any composite.

Evergrain is a pretty good product I have only had a few warranty issues. A regular snow rail with some metal balusters breaks up the composite look and is a fairly easy install. denver deck

2x4 top and bottom rail with balusters between 4x4 posts so there is a 3 3/4" gap at the bottom to push snow out (NOT the standard around here for home builders)

I thought that was the only way to build a rail. I wasn't aware of the name for it
